2 Corinthians 8:9

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.  

The Gospel is the ultimate act of generosity. Jesus Christ gave all of His life for us. This generous act fills us with joy that results in bearing that very same image in all of life.
